Pellets stored on pallets located outdoors, on the other hand, need good protection from atmospheric agents (humidity-rain-snow-sun). The bags, in fact, are also sensitive to UV rays which act as a deteriorating agent of the polyethylene with which these bags are made. For this reason, storage in outdoor areas requires the adoption of a cover cap (made of polyethylene with anti-UV protection) in order to prevent the bags, deteriorating over time, from breaking, allowing moisture, rain and snow to penetrate, causing a vertical rise in the humidity values of the pellets, significantly reducing their calorific value and increasing the quantities of unburned ash. This method of protection, which is quick, practical and economical, can be adopted by consumers who do not have enough enclosed space to store the pellets they need for the entire season. These hoods aimed at covering the “pallets” that house the 15 kg bags are resistant and easy to use and therefore perfect for storing pellets outside. The need to guarantee pellets with adequate protection against atmospheric agents has led to the creation of a specific product for covering pellets in pallets. This cover allows easy and safe outdoor storage, thanks to the suitable thickness and the presence of anti-UV additives. The eye-catching print of the cover with an “onomatopoeic” logo immediately recalls its intended use.
